Your Stay
at a glance
The three-bedroom, two full-bath house sleeps up to 4 adults in two queen-size beds and 2 children in a bunk bed in the children’s room.
A second floor sitting room is a quiet place to read or watch the smart television. The downstairs bath includes a full-sized washer and dryer. There is also a full pull-out sleeper in the siting room, should there be a need for two additional guests or for flexible sleeping arrangements
Basic necessities for cooking and entertaining are provided, including a new gas range and oven, microwave, pots and pans, and plates, glassware, and flatware. Shaded by a huge sugar maple, the open-air patio with café-style seating, a buffet table, and a fountain is perfect for al fresco dining from the late spring until well into the fall
internet and entertainment
Complementary high-speed internet (80/20 mpbs) allows multiple devices to run at the same time. Internet television reception is good, with many free streaming services, including Netflix on the Wakefield Farm sign-in.
Maine Public Radio provides NPR news on one channel (90.3) and classical music on the other (93.7)
Farmhouse guests must rely on their personal cell phones for calls. While mobile service has improved over the years, some providers are perennially stronger in this area (AT&T) than others (Verizon). Travellers should anticipate some dead zones and dropped calls along the coast while hiking, biking, boating, or travelling.

The owners are dog lovers, and a well-behaved dog with responsible owners is welcome. Dogs are to be leashed, walked, and cleaned up after when outside. They are never to be allowed on furniture anywhere in the house or above the first floor, so that bedrooms remain dander and allergy-free for all guests.
A medium-sized dog bed and a crate are provided in the mudroom, as are treats. All pets must be declared when reservations are made, and a pet fee (which varies according to length of stay) is required in advance.

Water is a precious resource, particularly with a country well. Please conserve water at all times. Water will be plentiful and the environment grateful.

The Farmhouse is not handicap-accessible. The driveway and approach to the house are steep, and the interior staircase is steep and narrow.
